Justin Hochella is a music producer/teacher known as Man Made Random offering coaching and training in the studio arts in the Detroit, MI with over 20 years of experience.

He began his musical journey at a young age with the trombone performing in various musical ensembles through the years including concert band, jazz band, choir and orchestra. As a teenager he learned to play guitar and piano. When he discovered how computers, synthesizers, drum machines and samplers could be used to create music, a fire was lit inside of him!

In 2003, he graduated with honors from Radford University with his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Technology. While at Radford, he was immersed in traditional music subjects such as music theory, sight-singing, music history, arrangement, and conducting. He also studied and practiced digital audio recording, editing, mixing, sound-design, electronic music songwriting & performance, synthesis, and multi-media design.

Specializing in the latest versions Logic Pro and Ableton Live, Justin uses a myriad of audio plug-ins/apps in combination with his ever evolving collection of synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, effects and ‘audio-oddities’! He has decades of experience recording and making music with computers and over a decade of experience creating and delivering virtual training for Apple Inc. He channels that passion into his work as a Logic Pro and Ableton Live trainer. 

As a producer, Justin is energized by helping an artist's vision come to life. Through deep collaboration, he applies his skills to help shape a song to its fullest potential, regardless of the genre it sits within. Whether starting with a simple melody or a fully arranged song, Justin takes things further by exploring and shaping sound in unique and interesting ways.
